Asus ZenBook 3 Review

At present, the computers and laptops are available in all different sizes and specs. You can get a good performing Laptop under Rs 30000. But if you can spend more, you will get better models with better specifications. A lot of people would opt for Apple MacBook when it comes to laptops. But now, Asus ZenBook 3 is going to make life harder for Apple. Asus ZenBook 3 launched recently. It comes with excellent specifications. And the best part is, it runs on the user-friendly Windows OS. So let us have a detailed look at what this mammoth device is going to offer its users. Here it is!

The looks are just gorgeous. The laptop weighs only 910 grams and it is 11.9 mm thin. The looks are much better than any Apple product till date. The chassis got crafted with the airspace grade aluminum body. This makes the laptop strong. The Asus logo comes with a brilliant metallic finish. It is lightweight. The Zen Book 3 is 9% thinner than the 12 inch Mac Book and 30% thinner than MacBook Air. You will get it in three color variants. They are Rose Gold, Quartz Grey and the Royal Blue.

The Zen Book 3 comes with 12.5 inches Full HD display. This looks sharp. It has got great viewing angles. A corning gorilla glass 4 protects it from scratches. The bezels are thinner than any other laptops, even Macbook! And this makes the device just brilliant in the display. The body ratio is 82%. The bezels are just 7.6mm in thickness. The max brightness is 300 nits. All in all, the display looks sharp and gorgeous. It will be a treat to use.

The ZenBook 3 comes with a backlit chiclet keyboard. And the keyboard is available throughout the entire breadth of the laptop. The keys fit just perfect. Every component in this laptop got designed to fit the ultra-small profile. The keyboard comes with gold lettering and a matching gold backlight. This might be nothing for a lot of you, but it is pretty cool to look at night. The trackpad is good enough to use it daily.

Speaking about the specifications the Zenfone 3 is a powerhouse. It comes with the latest i7 with 7500U Kaby Lake processor clocked at 2.7 GHz. You will have a 16 GB RAM. There is a 512GB hard disk and Windows 10 will be pre-loaded on it. There is also a lower variant for the ZenBook 3. It comes with i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and 256 GB storage. You can opt for any one of them. But if you want the latest specifications, then you can opt for the i7 processor one. According to Asus, the ZenBook 3 is 1.13 times faster than any regular 1866 RAM supported devices. The reason is ZenBook 3 comes with 2133 MHz high-speed RAM. Also, the PCle SSD is 3 times faster than normal SSDs.

The laptop comes with a revolutionary rolling system. The thermal fan is just 3mm thick and the walls of the heat pipe are 0.1m thick. The system directs warm air away through hidden vents. It is great for tackling day to day works.

Asus claimed that the ZenBook 3 offers 10 hours of battery backup. This is pretty impressive. And in regular use, you will get 6-7 hours of battery backup. The charging is just amazing. You will get 60% charge in less than an hour. And the charge will be full in less than 2 hours. The speakers are Harman Kardon tuned and sound quality is just brilliant. There are four distinct speakers available. Two above the keyboard and two at the bottom of the chassis. This drives the sound in a perfect way.

Speaking of graphics, the ZenBook 3 has got Intel integrated HD graphics and a 620 display adapter. It also has an 8GB graphical memory. This is more than enough even for the high-end games and graphic-intensive tasks. The laptop boots in seconds and shuts down immediately. Browsing, watching videos, streaming, social media, photo editing, and drafting article is blazing fast. The connectivity options are not good here. Asus ZenBook 3 comes with a multi-functional USB C port. You can use it for drawing power, connect the USB and the output video. For more USB ports, you will need adapters.

The ZenBook 3 comes at a price of Rs 1, 47, 990. And its base variant with the i5 processor comes at a price of Rs 1, 23,990. But there are a few shortcomings that can put off the users. The ZenBook 3 does not have a touchscreen. In this range, Asus should have offered a touch screen facility. The keypad is a chiclet keyboard that lacks feedback. But that might not be a major concern. The connectivity is a major concern. For more ports, you have to depend only on the external adapters.

The Asus ZenBook 3 is just an awesome laptop. All you have to do is deal with the connectivity ports and overlook the touchscreen facility. That’s all. We can assure you this ZenBook 3 is going to deliver one hell of a performance.
